Holistic Health Therapies

Abhyanga

A full body, warm oil massage provides a powerful preventive and rejuvenative effect on the body, mind and spirit. It promotes blood circulation and lymphatic drainage as well as relieving muscle pain, headaches, sinusitis and insomnia. It aids clear thinking and increases concentration levels, as it works on the subtle energy matrix of the chakras (energy centers) and nadis (meridians).

  Aromatherapy

The term “aromatherapie” was coined by Rene Maurice Gattefosse in 1928. He utilized the word to imply the therapeutic use of aromatic substances (essential oils). Since the beginning of Aromatherapy, the practice has encompassed human pathology and the treatment of different conditions (emotional and physical) with essential oils. As Aromatherapy developed into a practice it adopted an holistic approach which encompasses the body, the mind and the spirit (energy). As an holistic therapy Aromatherapy is able to work on several levels of the individuals well being. It has been used in ancient civilizations like Egypt and India for healing and spiritual purposes.

  Craniosacral work

Craniosacral work is a holistic healing practice which uses extremely light finger pressure to optimize a movement pattern within the body which is known as the “cranial wave”. Craniosacral work differs from most other modalities by its lightness of touch, and the long, attentive duration of each contact. It is based on the belief that focus and gentleness are the foundations of healing and is used to work with painful or restricted conditions anywhere in the body.

  Marma Therapy

Marma massage is part of Ayurveda, the traditional healing system of India and Sri Lanka. Therapists stimulate marma points (similar to acupressure point) on the body to enhance the flow of vital energy known as prana and bring about physical and mental well-being.

  Polarity Therapy

Developed by Randolph Stone, DO, DC, ND (1890-1981), Polarity Therapy is a comprehensive health system involving energy-based bodywork, diet, exercise and self-awareness. It works with the Human Energy Field, electromagnetic patterns expressed in mental, emotional and physical experience. In Polarity Therapy, health is viewed as a reflection of the conditions of the energy field, and therapeutic methods are designed to balance the field for health benefit.

  Pranic Healing

Pranic Healing offers a gentle but powerful non-touching approach to treating a variety of physical and psychological ailments. Kirilian photography has demonstrated the existence of a "vital" or energy body that inter-penetrates and extends beyond the visible physical body. Disease appears first in this energy body (sometimes referred to as an etheric or bio-plasmic body) before it manifests in the physical body. The Pranic Healer cleanses the energy body by removing dirty prana and energizes the energy body with fresh vital prana, thus facilitating the natural healing process of the physical body.

  Reiki

Reiki is a vibrational energy technique for improving health by balancing our energy system. It is a holistic therapy which harmonizes body, mind and spirit, using non-polarized energy from the centers in the palms of the hands. Reiki helps in reducing headaches, colds, flu's, cuts, burns, fatigue, stomach upsets, sprains and other complaints of day-to-day living.

  Tui Na

Tui Na, which means ‘push and grasp’ presents an endless range of soft tissue and manipulation techniques that are applied with lots of movement and vigor to the clothed body, It is well suited for the treatment of specific musculoskeletal disorders and chronic stress-related disorders of the digestive, respiratory and reproductive systems as well as muscular pain.

  Zen Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese “finger – pressure” therapy that has been used to relieve a variety of problems including back pain, neck and shoulder problems, stress, insomnia, digestive problems and fatigue. It is based on Eastern Medical Theory (mostly on Traditional Chinese Medicine) and sometimes it is described as "acupressure" or “acupuncture without needles”.
